Setting up UnSpot for Microsoft Teams
How to add UnSpot to Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams allows you to highlight and install applications on the behalf of your users. Follow the steps below to manage the app’s setup policies. For more context, please see Microsoft’s documentation: Manage app setup policies in Microsoft Teams – Microsoft Teams
- Add the UnSpot application from the Teams directory.
- Select Add to install the application.
- From the Teams admin console, navigate to Teams apps > Setup policies. Then edit the default “Global (Org-wide default)” policy or create a new one if you wish to restrict the installation to specific users/groups.
- To install the application on behalf of all users in the policy, click Add apps under installed apps and search for the UnSpot application.
Connect the app to your company
After installation, open the UnSpot app in Teams. On the first launch it asks for your company domain — enter your UnSpot subdomain (at least 2 characters) and confirm. The app connects your Teams tenant to the UnSpot workspace and remembers the link, so employees do not need to repeat this step.
Note: this tab application is not related to the MS Teams card on Administration → Integrations → Synchronisations — that card is a future notification channel and is marked “Coming soon”. The Teams app works without it.
