Amenities management
Amenities are the catalogue of equipment for desks and meeting rooms: monitors, flipcharts, video conferencing — everything that matters to an employee choosing a place. The section lives in Manage → Office management → Amenities. Administrators maintain the catalogue; employees see amenities in place cards and use them as a filter when booking.

Adding an amenity and its fields
The “Add amenity” button opens a form with two fields:
- “Name” — 2 to 30 characters; unique within its type, case-insensitive (“Monitor” and “monitor” count as the same name). The “Desk” and “Meeting room” types may contain identically named items — they are two separate catalogues;
- “Amenity type” — “Desk” or “Meeting room”. The type defines which spaces the item can be attached to and which filters it appears in. There are no other types: parking and locker equipment is not managed through this catalogue.
Keep in mind. The “All” filter above the list switches the view between types. Keep names short and consistent (“2 monitors”, “Flipchart”) — employees see them in booking filters, where long wording is inconvenient.
How amenities work
Catalogue → space card → filter. A created item becomes available in the cards of spaces of the matching type: the administrator marks in a desk or meeting-room card which equipment is present there. From then on amenities work in two places: an employee sees the equipment in the place card while booking, and in desk and meeting-room search they can filter places by the required amenities (for example, show only desks with two monitors). A place appears in the filter results only if the item is marked in its card.
Exports. The neighbouring “Resources unload” tab exports the list of spaces with their equipment — handy for inventory checks.
Editing and deleting
Renaming an item is reflected immediately everywhere it is used — in space cards and filters; there is no need to re-mark it in the cards. The type of an existing item cannot be changed — create a new item in the required type instead.
Deletion risks. An item is deleted immediately, with no recycle bin, and disappears from every space card and filter. If employees are used to searching for places by this item, their saved expectations break, and the equipment records vanish from place cards irreversibly — the only way back is to create the item again and re-mark it in every card.
How amenities relate to other settings
| What | How it relates to amenities |
|---|---|
| Desk and meeting-room cards | Equipment is marked in the space card; the item type must match the space type |
| Booking filters | Employees filter places by amenities; a place is found only if the item is marked in its card |
| Resources unload | The list of spaces with their equipment is exported on the neighbouring tab |
| Office map / Meeting rooms dashboard | Amenity filters are available inside the corresponding modules (“Available functionality” in Company settings) |
