Outgoing Webhooks: Parking place booking notifications
Creating an outgoing subscription allows user data (including their email address, license plate number and vehicle make, booking time, and parking space number and location in a particular space) to be transferred to other external systems or applications at the time a parking space is booked in UnSpot. This mechanism is great for automating applications, for example, to third-party parking access control systems, avoiding the need to manually send applications.
Data transfer with active subscription is performed via HTTPS requests and is compatible with various systems working with JSON format.
How to set up a subscription
To set up a subscription, you must add an external URL to which UnSpot will send event data. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Go to Manage > Integrations > Outgoing webhooks.
- Click on the “Create outgoing webhook” button.
- Add an external URL to which UnSpot will send the event data
- Select the event
- Select a space. Event data will only be sent if the event occurred in the selected space. You can select one or multiple spaces at once.
- Click the “Add” button.
Important:
You can create two or more subscriptions for the same event if you require integration with multiple systems or services. For example, this may be necessary to customize subscriptions for individual spaces or to collect event data for various analytics.
Usage
- After adding a subscription, you will see a URL link where events from UnSpot will be automatically sent to
- You can activate or deactivate the subscription as needed.
- If the settings change, you have the option to edit the subscription or delete it.
Limitations
If requests to the external system are exceeded, the subscription may be automatically deactivated (server unavailable, request timeout exceeded).
